So it’s time for you to schedule your next propane delivery for your home here in East Texas. You know that your supply is running low, but you are stuck on exactly how much fuel to order.
Does this scenario sound familiar?
If so, Buster Brown can help!
The good news is that there is actually a way to estimate how much propane your home is going to use on an annual basis.
You can generally use the below guidelines to help gauge your anticipated fuel usage:
The above statistics are just estimates. The exact amount of propane that a home ends up using every year depends on multiple different elements.
The number of appliances you are powering with propane, how big those appliances are, how old they are and what kind of condition they are in with all impact how much fuel you go through. If you are using propane for home heating purposes you also have to consider how large your home is and how good your house’s insulation is. The length of the winter will also then come into play.
Also keep in mind that propane usage differs from home to home, even if you are comparing houses that are the same size.
If you want to play it safe, order an amount of fuel that is on the higher end of what you think you will need. Propane doesn’t go bad or degenerate over time so any extra fuel you don’t use one year can be used at a late date.
To prevent having to deal with the hassle and complete inconvenience of a fuel run-out, it is best to set up your next fuel delivery when your propane tank hits the 20% mark. This should give you enough time to set up and schedule your next delivery without having to worry about completely running out of fuel.
Here at Buster Brown Propane Service we offer our customers two convenient options when it comes to fuel deliveries.
The first option is our Keep Full automatic delivery service. We look at the history of your fuel usage as well as the weather and then predict when your tank will need to be refilled. We then set up your next delivery accordingly.
Our wireless propane tank monitoring option is even more convenient and accurate. This service allows us to track your fuel levels in real time. When you need more propane we get an alert and then promptly schedule a delivery.
